Thirty-two participants and speakers gathered at this two-day seminar to hold discussions on the following topics:
- Technical and operational aspects of setting up a discussion forum on the internet
- Ways to use the internet as a forum of exchange between students
Twenty-five of the participants were principals and teaching professionals from high schools in ASEM member countries. They lent their diverse pedagogical experience and expertise to the project and laid the groundwork for the launch of the Asia-Europe Classroom in December 1998.
